Many weapons available in previous installments of the series return with minor cosmetic and power alterations. Unlike previous installments, the player’s secondary weapon is visible on their player model, holstered or slung across the player’s back.

Power Slayer This Slayer gametype is designed to allow players to gain special traits based on the types of kills they perform. Each time you perform one of these kills you will gain the traits assigned to that kill for 10 seconds. Killing another player during this period will refresh your timer back to 10 seconds and extend your powers. Speedpile The idea of this gametype was based on Stockpile and allows players to carry multiple flags on their back while still using weapons, vehicles and equipment.
When a player touches a flag it will automatically attach to their back and will only drop when they are killed. Flags can be assigned different point values which are displayed above the flag in your HUD. Flags which are worth more than 1 point will be larger and on fire as well. Delivering the flags to your Speedpile goal zone will instantly score them and cause the flags to respawn at their original location.
Just like in Speedpile, you can still use weapons, vehicles and equipment without dropping the flag. This game variant will work with any map which is already setup for CTF. The goals are created by team specific hill markers labeled as goals with spawn sequencer set to the point value of the goal. If the Golf Ball reaches the goal, it will be scored and your team will score points equal to the score specified in the object properties.

Sometimes the game crashes while searching. While in a party, changing playlist will disband the party. Being in a party in general is a nightmare.

Surprisingly, servers re-opened shortly after the session was due to close, with connection issues initially intermittent before performance improved to near-perfect levels. After all, the game that I am writing about is the last Halo that will ever be made or so they say. With Microsoft and Bungie going separate ways, Halo: Reach is easily the best installment in this epic franchise, and to be perfectly honest may be the single greatest First-Person Shooter I have ever played. The pressure to write a review that does this game the justice it deserves is insurmountable. What Bungie has created is a finale that is so near close to perfect, it may be impossible to express through words.

This was a great first entry in what wound up really being a great franchise. The story is somewhat basic, and the game play, in comparison with future titles, is a bit clunky and rough.

I enjoy Halo for it being different from other games of its type and I also understand from where Bungie tries to experiment with new things. Now, these are more questions than complaints because I do not fully understand how this system works because it is new, and I could simply be mis-understanding it so Let me start simple, the DMR. I love its new concept of how you can shoot it fast, or slow for more accuracy.
What I do not understand is how when I shoot slower for accuracy, someone can very simply kill me in 5 shots shooting it as fast as it can go. Then when I try to mimick that I find myself emptying and entire clip into someone when they are 1 shot. What is the deal? Am I doing something wrong shooting it slow? Am I doing something wrong leaving the cross hiers on them while shooting it fast? Or are they planning on adjusting the DMR? Next, the thing I have the biggest problems with.
I love the 4 point system, I like how it isn’t just win or lose to determine your skill. However, what I do not like is getting on Team Arena for my first time ever, and in my first game being paired up with and against several Onyx Division players.
