The phrase “unequally yoked together” is not a phrase that signifies a “marriage. First, let’s read the entire Scripture: And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

We have the promise of God, Who cannot lie, Heb.
However, while that may be all the evidence Bible believers need, that is not all the evidence we have! Jeremiah writes as he is commanded and king Jehoiakim listens to the word of God. He receives illumination fro the Lord, but he rejects the message. He takes the scroll Jeremiah has written and he literally cuts it to pieces and burns it in the fireplace, Jer. Apparently, he thinks that destroying the written word will erase what God has said. God merely sent His word again through the prophet Jeremiah, Jer.
